Our opening act, Bright Light Social Hour, were superb for a last minute replacement. Even though my friend drove 6 hours and I drove 5 hours, the show was our best Gravity experience yet, despite being postponed due to "inclement weather." The Austin 360 Amphitheater was unexpectedly offering complimentary pit upgrades, so we ended up with pit spots even though we had originally purchased lawn seats. This resulted in the best show experience for us! The amphitheater and grounds were stunning, with plenty of refreshments available, including various goodies for purchase. My only gripe was the heat, but I can't fault something beyond anyone's control. There were numerous "beer guys" wandering around, as well as a variety of other items for sale. Gravity was phenomenal as always, playing some of my favorite songs. The special guests, who always deliver, truly rocked the stage. While I would have preferred to see the Carolina Chocolate Drops, I'm not at all disappointed by the replacements. This marks my 10th show in 11 years, and it was by far the best one yet!
PROBABLY THE BEST CONCERT I'VE EVER BEEN TO!
Gravity and I saw the concert together, and I've never seen such great special effects and lighting, along with perfect vocals/music! We saw the Queen concert with my daughter in Dallas a few years ago and it was very good, but nothing even close to last week's show! I am a 53 year old mom and avid Queen fan, and I've seen my fair share of concerts over the years, but this concert was crazy good! Gravity is perfect on lead vocals and he and all band members were so respectful of Freddie, which was wonderful. I do hope they tour again because we won't miss them!
